Tomfoolery Follows the Blue Blazes
Tomfoolery successfully completed a thru-hike following the blue blazes around Ohio on the 1,400 mile Buckeye Trail. The 97 day journey led him to all four corners of the state. Using his passion for adventure advocacy, Tom helped raised awareness, increased membership and raised $2,500for the Buckeye Trail Association. Serving as walking ambassador for the trail and the beauty of Ohio.
Activities included trail town celebrations, membership drives, promotional appearances, trail work days, speaking engagements and group hikes. A strong social media and public relations campaign amplified the trail experience. It was quite a social hike with almost 100 people joining the long walk around Ohio.
